Psychological studies and analysis indicate the importance of self-management
in order to develop our personality. Thorough self-management, a person is able
to focus his attention efforts directly on his goal and achieve paramount success
in his chosen field.
All intellectuals
and successful people of the world understand the importance of
self-management.
Self-management
means- managing our own selves and creating a functional system according to
our needs.
It also means that we must establish a strong
connection with our inner self; our feelings, imagination, introspection and
desires. It is important to coordinate our area of work with out self and
society, and strike a balance between all aspects to organize them efficiently.
The focal
point of self-management is the awareness of one’s own self.
For thousands
of year, the fundamental of spiritualism have been as follows:
“know thy self;
remain conscious of your own self.”
The main mantra for self-management is--:
Achieving balance between the heart and mind.
Sages and saints have also said that--:
“While you remain within you, live outside.”
Self awareness
means learning about internal and social commitments and understanding them
fully, which means identifying our own self and then planning and organizing
our efforts in the pursuit of knowledge.
What is self-management?
Managing a condition like epilepsy can be complex and
frustrating. Sometimes, seizures make it hard to work, go to school, drive, and
take part in social activities. Sometimes epilepsy treatment makes these
activities harder, too. Self-management skills
can help people take control of their health and cope with their day-to-day
challenges.
Self-management does not mean that people manage their health
alone. Self-management requires an active
partnership between a person with epilepsy, their family or friends, and the
health care provider. Each one plays an important role in epilepsy self-management.

Begin with these tips:
- Take
your medication as prescribed.
- Talk
with your healthcare provider when you have questions.
- Recognize
and avoid seizure triggers (such as stress), when possible.
- Keep
a record of your seizures and look for patterns, so you can talk about
them with your doctor.
- Get
enough sleep.
- Exercise
safely.
- Lower
stress.
- Keep
in touch with friends, family, and other people that can help you

- Live by your values, whatever they are.

- Speak up! No one can “hear” what you’re thinking without you
be willing to stand up for it.

- When you ask for more responsibility, expect to be held fully

- Be more productive by creating good habits and rejecting bad

diligence are prized more than ever before. Be action-oriented. Seek to make
things work. Be willing to do what it takes.

teach and share everything you know.

- Be nice. Be courteous, polite and respectful. Be considerate.

- Be self-disciplined.

- Don’t be a victim or a martyr. You always have a choice, so
don’t shy from it:

- Keep healthy and take care of yourself. Exercise your mind,
body and spirit so you can be someone people count on, and so you can live
expansively and with abundance.

First, decide which issue you need to resolve and pose the
problem to yourself as a question:

Should I quit my job? Should I start my own business? Should I
end my relationship?

Next, be honest and exhaustive as you consider each option and
ask yourself what the consequences will be:

- In the next 10 minutes? [that is, right now]

- In 10 months? [in immediate future]
·
- In 10 years [long term effect]

Finally, take the data/notes you have compiled and compare it to
your beliefs , goals and dreams.
Self awareness
mean getting acquainted with ourselves and becoming what we really are. It also
means that we should become aware of our unique qualities and work towards
achieving a fruitful and valuable goal. This means that an individual can make
his life meaningful and successful only by identifying his own self.
